Music Ministry

Music MinistryThe music ministry includes all members of the assembly, the choir, musicians and music director. Sung prayer is a large part of the liturgy, and the music ministry is charged with joining the assembly in sung prayer. Parish Community Life

Parish Community LifePurpose:  This Ministry is a parishioner led group whose mission is to support fellowship and community building for the many diverse members of our parish through intergenerational social activities, fellowship and parish celebrations. The Parish Community Life Committee supports various activities to promote fellowship and enhance the social environment of the parish throughout the year. They coordinate and assist with refreshments whether a simple coffee or a meal for a variety of parish functions which include receptions, meetings, local sponsored events, and retreats as requested. They also plan and coordinate special parish events to include breakfasts, luncheons, picnics, dinners, fun nights, and festivals offering food, fellowship, and fun for the whole family.

Bereavement Team:  Upon request to the parish office from relatives or other parishioners, this team works with parish families in time of need providing assistance with the reception/food after a funeral Mass.

Membership:  Parish Community Life is open to all parishioners, no experience is necessary, and families are encouraged to participate. It is possible to be a member of the ministry committee or to just help with one or more of the events.

Meeting Schedule:  There is no set meeting schedule, formal meetings are infrequent, and activities are spread throughout the year. Small committees or teams are formed and meet as necessary for each event or ministry need. Volunteers of all ages are welcome.
